Mitsubishi TLE43 42.7cc (2.2 hp) Very Quiet Two Cycle, for Bicycles

This is a complete kit including the engine listed above, plus the following parts that are needed to install on most bicycles:

Gearbox (included)

The Staton-Inc 18.75 to 1 Outside Drive gear reduction box that has Six high speed double sealed ball bearings, 1/2 inch thick gears, a 5/8 inch outside drive output shaft that has a 3/16 inch keyway along with two snap ring groves to hold the sprocket in place.

The gear box has a centrifugal clutch and the engines are all easy pull start.

Hub (included)

The Staton-Inc CNC custom machined dual threaded hub that has FOUR high speed double sealed ball bearing, your pick of a 28 hole, 32 hole, 36 hole or 48 hole spoke hub, includes a 10mm x 1.0 x 7 - 7/8 inch long axle, two 10mm x 1.0 flange nuts, the center of hole to center of hole is 2.052” (2 – 1/16”). The person re lacing the hub will have to DISH the wheel and add spacers to one or both sides to match your bike. (Complete wheels are extra)

You can also add a sprocket for the right side drive chain we carry 1 speed or 7 or 8 speed sprockets. Many customers reuse their original sprocket if it fits.

Gear (included)

A machined #41H sprocket Your Choice up to 19 tooth for the gear box. Use the drop down menu when ordering.

The top speed (30 + mph) can be changed just by taking the sprocket off the gear box and replacing it with a larger one.  If you want more low end pulling power and lower top end speed replace it with a smaller sprocket.  Extra sprockets are on our Chain Drive Add on Parts page

Chain Guard (included)

Sprocket & chain guard for the outside drive gear box.

Sprocket (included)

16 tooth Left hand threaded freewheel sprocket for the left side of the hub.

Chain (included)

Approximately 46” of #41H chain and two connecting links.

Throttle cable (included)

A 60 inch long throttle cable and finger / thumb lever for the throttle control. (Twist grip or longer cable is extra)

Stop Switch (included)

Remote toggle engine stop switch with handlebar mount for safety.

Mounting Bracket (included)

The U shaped mounting bracket and four supports for the gear box.

Small Parts (included)

Nuts and Bolts Plus many other small parts needed for mounting.

Note: You may need other hardware that is not included in the kit depending on the style of bike.

For a Full Suspension Bike you will need extension brackets to extend the engine behind the seat to allow for the suspension to move, like in the pictures in our GALLERY. We sell 8 inch extension brackets on our Chain Drive Add on Parts page or you can make your own using 1” x ¼” Aluminum flat bar (you can purchase at hardware store)

Note: Our chain drive kit will not work with a disc brake.
